Emilio Bellingeri

Emilio Bellingeri is research scientist at CNR-SPIN unit of Genoa. His research activities are focused on the preparation and physical properties investigation of advanced functional materials such as superconductors and oxides. Competences include preparation of materials, in particular in powder, bulk, tapes and films shape, by both conventional and innovative techniques; thin films deposition, epitaxial growth; structural characterization: low and high energy x-ray diffraction, neutron diffraction, electron diffraction (RHEED); Electron microscopy and correlated techniques (EDX, EBSD); physical characterization: transport and magnetic properties measurements.

Barbara Cagnana

Barbara Cagnana is technologist head of CNR-SPIN project office. She is highly specialized in management of international contracts. She works in close contact with European and national agencies, giving diffusion to the scientific community of updated information on funding opportunities and calls at national and international level for research as well as technological development. She supports scientific community in the submission of proposals, in the negotiation of projects and in the preparation of executive plans and all consequent fulfilments (contract, agreements, meetings, accounts, periodic and final reports).

Silvia Cella

Silvia Cella is a technologist in force as patent manager at CNR - Technology Transfer Office. She deals with technical aspects of IPR protection as well as exploitation of research results. In addition to the activities of patent filing and IPR management, she gives assistance in negotiation and drafting of technology transfer agreements (i.e. license agreements, NDA & MTA, consortium agreement etc.) and in IPR related clauses within research contracts.

Roberta De Donatis

Roberta De Donatis is a technologist at CNR-ICMATE and before, for almost the entire duration of the project, at CNR-SPIN where she provided administrative, legal and strategic advice for the technology transfer and the intellectual property valorization. She assisted CNR-SPIN in negotiating contracts and collaboration agreements with industries and research organizations, with particular reference to the intellectual property matters, such as non-disclosure agreements, sponsored research contracts, license agreements, memorandum of understanding.

Daniele Marré

Daniele Marré is associate professor at the Physics Department of Genova University and CNR-SPIN associated member. His research activities are focused on the preparation and physical properties investigation of advanced functional materials such as high temperature superconductors and transition metal oxides, with a special attention to the realization of innovative micro and nanodevices for applications in energy and electronics. Fields of interest include: thermoelectrics, spintronics, micro-electromechanical systems, Mott transistors, superconducting devices, low dimensional systems.

Elisabetta Narducci

Elisabetta Narducci is technologist at CNR-IOM and part of the Technical Administrative Support Service with tasks of scientific support to projects, writing and managing reporting, promotion activities and external communications; management of project evaluation process. She was involved in writing several successful EU and Italian projects and in their development as regards management aspects, reporting activities, communication and dissemination.

Luca Pellegrino

Luca Pellegrino is research scientist at CNR-SPIN unit of Genoa and coordinator of OXiNEMS. His main research interests are oxide electronics and oxide-based (nano)devices (field effect transistors, non-volatile memories, magnetic devices), oxide microelectromechanical systems (strain devices, micromechanical resonators, microactuators), oxide thin film deposition by Pulsed Laser Deposition, nanofabrication techniques (AFM nanolithography), inkjet printing.

Alejandro Plaza

Alejandro Plaza is research fellow at the CNR-SPIN unit of Genoa under the OXiNEMS project. His research interests are thin film deposition by Physical Vapor Deposition methods and their structural, morphological and transport properties characterization. During the project he will mainly work on oxide thin film deposition by Pulsed Laser Deposition and oxide NEMS fabrication.

Eric Andersson

Eric Andersson is a PhD student at Quantum Device Physics laboratory, Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience – MC2, Chalmers University of Technology. He is working on fabrication and electrical transport characterization of high-Tc nanodevices and thin films.

Riccardo Arpaia

Riccardo Arpaia is a researcher at Quantum Device Physics laboratory, Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience – MC2, Chalmers University of Technology. His scientific interests mainly focus on high critical temperature superconductors and their growth in thin film form, finalized to the study of their electronic properties, via X-ray scattering techniques and low-temperature transport measurements, and to their nanopatterning into devices as SQUIDs and single photon detectors.

Alexei Kalaboukhov

Alexei Kalaboukhov is a researcher at Quantum Device Physics laboratory, Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience – MC2, Chalmers University of Technology. His major research topic is design, fabrication and measurements of high-Tc SQUIDs for biomedical applications. His expertise also comprises various oxide electronic devices, superconductivity and low temperature physics, deposition of thin films, micro- and nanofabrication, characterization of electrical transport at low temperatures and high magnetic fields.

Jan Gohrbandt

Jan Gohrbandt started his Bachelor thesis in November 2020 at UHAM. He is working on the setup of a fiber positioner for the portable testing channel under development at UdA and on characterizing OXiNEMS resonators by interferometric detection with the cryogenic optomechanical readout system in UHAM.

Torben Hanke

Torben Hanke is research scientist at the University of Hamburg and he is working on scanning probe microscopy, especially on spin-polarized scanning tunneling microscopy. His main interests are imaging the electronic and magnetic properties of correlated electron systems such as transition metal oxides, high temperature superconductors and iron-based superconductors. He has a strong expertise in designing and developing ultra-stable, high-resolution scanning probe instruments, which will use to setup up a high-sensitive, low-temperature optical read-out instrument in order to investigate the magnetic and mechanical properties of nanoelectromechanical systems based on transition metal oxides.

Dhavalkumar Mungpara

Dhavalkumar Mungpara, is a PhD student at the University of Hamburg. He has a strong interest in computational modeling and the application of scanning probe microscopy techniques to novel functional materials for sensors applications. His tasks are to test ultra-sensitive opto-mechanical magnetic field detectors and to optimize their design by simulating their response.

Alexander Schwarz

Alexander Schwarz is a researcher at the University of Hamburg and coordinates the atomic force microscopy related activities in the scanning probe group of Prof. Roland Wiesendanger. His research interests are imaging surfaces with and without adsorbed species (atoms and molecules) with atomic resolution using atomic force microscopy (AFM) and spectroscopy in ultra-high vacuum at cryogenic temperatures and in high magnetic fields. Applying magnetic force microscopy (MFM) to investigate flux-lines in high-temperature superconductors as well as domain structures in thin magnetic films. Development of magnetic exchange force microscopy (MExFM) and spectroscopy (MExFS), to study spin structures with atomic resolution. Realization of an atom-membrane hybrid quantum system (HQS).

Kwok Luo

Kwok Luo obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in The Hague in June 2020, on the design of a low-noise analog front-end for the OXiNEMS photodetectors. Since june, he continues to work at at Quantified Air as a part-time electronics engineer, focusing on AD-conversion and FPGA-based signal processing of the detected interferometer signals as a part of the scalable readout system.

Paolo Capotosto

Paolo Capotosto is a researcher at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at UdA. He has been working to understand the neural basis of cognition using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), combined with EEG (online) and MEG (offline). In particular, he uses an on-line repetitive TMS to causally interfere with brain regions and pathways that are integral for processing, using an individualized approach in which stimulated regions are identified based on functional imaging in each participant.

Cosimo Del Gratta

Cosimo Del Gratta is full professor of Physics at the Gabriele D’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara since 2010. He teaches basic Physics in Pharmacology, and in other life science courses, and functional MRI in the PhD course in Neuroscience and Imaging. He has worked on instrumentation for biomagnetism, and in the modelling and analysis of magnetoencephalography and EEG signals. At present he works in methods and applications of fMRI data analysis. His other research interests are modelling for diffusion MRI, and multimodal integration of brain imaging data.

Stefania Della Penna

Stefania Della Penna is an associate professor at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at UdA. Her experience ranges from the implementation of biomedical instrumentation to its applications. Specifically, she works on the design and implementation of superconducting instrumentation for biomagnetism and has actively participated in the development of the MEG system operating at ITAB, the small-scale VLF-MRI system installed in the MSR at ITAB, the MCG system and liver susceptometry prototype previously operating at the same site. She also works in MEG applications, in the design and implementation of methods for the analysis of large scale communication in the resting brain, and in multimodal imaging within a multidisciplinary team.

Ingo Hilschenz

Ingo Hilschenz, is a PostDoc at the University Gabriele D’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara. Since 2008 his main focus is Ultra Low to Low field NMR/MRI. He built multiple NMR/MRI prototype systems, applying either different NMR techniques or implementing new sensors. I worked both with SQUID sensors and Optically Magnetic Pumped Magnetometers, where the latter poses additional challenges to work for MRI/NMR. He’s also involved with MEG measurements, either as subject and/or helping with the hardware implementation or programming (data acquisition, timing,... ) but never primarily.

Vittorio Pizzella

Vittorio Pizzella is full professor of physics since 2006 at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at UdA. Throughout his scientific career, his main research interest has been the development of superconducting instrumentation for the detection of biomagnetic fields, as well as the development of new data analysis techniques to obtain better estimates of the cerebral activity from MEG. His interest includes also brain imaging, including the study of brain connectivity, and, more generally, neurophysiology.

Enrico Ragucci

Enrico Ragucci recently started his PhD thesis at Gabriele D'Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara. He graduated in Applied Physics at the University of Genoa with a master thesis about thermal transport in crystalline VO2 micro-structures, which was analyzed through theoretical simulations and experimental measurements. Thanks to this experience with transition metal oxides, he is currently working on the design and assemblage of a biomagnetic channel based on nanoelectromechanical sensors made of TMO and on methods for the characterization and validation of the channel through the measurement of the magnetic fields that are generated by biological tissues.

Sara Spadone

Sara Spadone is a research associate at the Gabriele D'Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara. Since 2009 she is experienced in signal analysis and classification, with a specific interest in MEG, fMRI and TMS and their multimodal integration. She was in the forefront of studies using cutting edge methods to extract spatial, temporal and spectral information from MEG/EEG data, through the analysis of the evoked signal, the power modulations and interactions at the channel and source level.

Anna Amati

Anna Amati is founder and executive director of META Group. Architect, innovation enabler, she has acquired more than 20 years of experience on economic development policies and mechanism supporting innovation of companies and territories, with a particular focus on technology transfer and spin-off creation. Anna is also Vice-President of META Group and board of member of META Ventures.

Francesca Natali

Francesca Natali has more than 15 years’ experience in early stage finance and technology transfer, having worked with International Financial Institutions, the European Commission, and national/regional managing authorities for the design, development and management of several Financial Instruments under ESIF in The Netherlands, Romania, Finland, Tunisia, Italy, Slovenia, Poland. She is currently engaged as fund Manager for the Ingenium Funds. Francesca is also in charge of the fundraising activities dealing with formal and informal investors both on national and international level. Francesca sits on several boards of directors of innovative SMEs, in the interest of the Ingenium funds. Francesca has also direct experience in collaborating with FET.

Lorenzo Valeriani

Lorenzo Valeriani is an analyst and a project manager at META Group. With an experience of 4 years, Lorenzo is involved in entrepreneurial themes, business and territory innovation policies, economic development policies, European research and innovation projects and investment and supporting SMEs projects. Lorenzo, thanks to the involvement in various international assignments, gained hands on expertise in the analysis of S3 (Smart Specialization Strategy), ERDF ROP (Regional Operative Programs), Business model Canvas and Exploitation results. He is part of the AIFI Young association
